Fabric Information:
Weekly vacuuming or light brushing helps to remove soil and prevent the embedding of dirt or grime between fibers which can increase abrasion and wear.

The life of upholstered cushions can be increased through periodic turning. The weekly reversal of loose cushions will allow even distribution of wear over a long period of time.

Fabric grades or levels are codes that relate to the cost of fabric. The cost is usually determined by the fibers used and the intricacy of the manufacturing process. Fabric grades do not indicate the durability of the fabric. But, some higher grade fabrics are more durable than the lower grade fabrics.

Adding your own fabric protector voids your fabric warranty. Most fabrics have all ready been treated by the mill with a fabric protection.

If you do not know the cleaning code for the fabric you saw on our site, give us a call and we will look it up for you. We can also tell you the contents of the fabric. Our toll-free number is 1-866-519-6970. You can read about different fibers used in fabrics at http://www.fibersource.com.

Palliser Fabric and Leather Cleaning Codes and Instructions
Leather Care:
Clean leather often, as frequent and gentle cleaning is easier on leather than less frequent, more aggressive cleaning. Cleaning will remove built-up dirt, skin oils and perspiration.
1. Protected (Pigmented) and Semi-aniline Leathers Clean with a mild soap and water solution. Use a mild soap with a neutral pH. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth to remove any soap residue. Do not use a soap product that is harsh on your skin, as it will be harsh on the leather. Always test the soap solution in an unseen area on the sofa to ensure that\ the solution does not damage the leather (no leather color transfer on to your cloth).
2. Natural (Aniline) Leathers Clean with only a slightly damp cloth. Do not use any type of soap on natural (aniline) leather.

Fabric Care:
Fabric manufacturers recommend regular dusting and vacuuming. Removable cushions should be fluffed regularly. Soiled areas should be cleaned based on the following cleaning code(s) found on your Palliser product. If cleaning codes are not available, contact your retailer from where you purchased the product.
W -Use water-based cleaning agents.
WS -Use water-based cleaning agents or mild, water-free solvents.
X -Vacuum or brush lightly and do not use foam or liquid cleaning agents.
V -Wash with warm water and mild soap only. Vacuum thoroughly and regularly.
